This session is run in Microsoft Teams by Library Volunteers. The aim of the Online Retreat is to provide a protected space, free from distractions, that allows you the time to focus and reflect on any University work you have to do.
This includes but is not limited to
- Writing your next assignment
- Revising for your exams
- Researching around the subject of your next assignment/chapter of your dissertation/thesis
- Working through the reading list's for your classes
- Planning for your upcoming assignments
Guest Speaker
Our guest speaker at this week's writing retreat will be Dom Henri, Senior Lecturer in Zoology and author of the textbook 'Study & Communication Skills for the Biosciences'. He'll be talking about the fundamentals of project management and how you can apply them to 'get stuff done' as a postgraduate research student.
Who is this retreat for
This Retreat is solely online, via Microsoft Teams, and is an opportunity to make meaningful progress on your University work in a supportive setting with fellow, like-minded scholars. The aim is to create an online, academic community that you can be a part of in the comfort of your own space - a virtual Library.
Please note that this Retreat is for current University of Hull students only, and you will be required to authenticate your student account upon registration.
