Event description

Event description

Trusted Research was developed by the UK government to help researchers and universities understand the potential risks of international collaborations and make informed decisions. Trusted Research helps to protect researchers, their work, the institution and the wider UK from security risks which may come about when working internationally. The framework helps to protect intellectual property, high-risk research, people and infrastructure from potential theft and manipulation.

Export control legislation may apply to your research if you are working with international partners in high-risk research areas. There is a personal responsibility for compliance with this legislation.

This session will provide an introduction to Trusted Research to raise awareness and offer guidance as to how you can best protect the security of your research and describe the ways in which individuals and the institution ensure compliance with export control legislation.
