Event description

Event description

Want to develop your skills as a researcher? Learn how to stay on track with your personal development plan.

This session is designed to get PGRs thinking about where you are now, what you want to achieve when you finish your degree, and how to plan the journey between the two. Postgraduate Researchers have an enormous range of skills they can develop during their degree. To make the most of your time, you need to have a plan and to know how to implement it. During this workshop, we'll go over what a personal development plan is, what skills you might want to develop, and how this can benefit you in your future careers.

Our PGR skills sessions are designed as informal, friendly spaces where you can ask questions and get tailored advice. We run these sessions as hybrid events, so you can attend either on Teams or in-person. We book these events for two hours - the first hour is a presentation, with the second hour free for questions.

These sessions are delivered by Dr Sarah Greer, the PGR Development Lead with the Doctoral College.

If you have any queries about this session, please get in touch by emailing s.greer@hull.ac.uk.
