Thesis submission and completion
Purpose of the session
This session has been arranged to refresh and advise PGRs on the requirements and responsibilities for thesis submission and completion. These are topics students are asked about each year in the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES). Whilst the scores were still in the very good zone for response rates, they have fallen just slightly in the 2022 survey, with 78.7% of PGRs agreeing that they understand the requirements for their thesis, and 72.6% of students agreeing that they were confident that they would complete their research degree within their expected timescale.
We hope that this session will help cover some of the issues that will help PGRs in this area.
Target audience
PGRs in their 2 and 3rd years, and interested PGRs in the first stage of their research degree.
