The Faculty of Science and Engineering, Engineering Department presents:

Forecasting using data-intensive hybrid artificial neural network models in environmental and energy engineering applications with guest speaker Dr Sheen Cabaneros

Dr. Sheen Mclean Cabaneros is currently a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering and is another exciting Early Career Colleague within the Engineering Department. His qualifications include a bachelor’s and master’s degree in applied mathematics and a PhD in mechanical engineering.

Sheen specialises in environmental engineering with an emphasis on the utilisation of machine learning techniques and his talk will be a fascinating insight of how modelling can contribute to the net zero drive.

The event will be hosted by Professor Jiawei Mi, the Department Postgraduate Research Director in Engineering and all staff and students are welcome.
