Event description

Celebrating yourself – developing an online audience for your research

With Dr Lee Fallin SFHEA, FRGS, Academic & Library Specialist, Microsoft Certified Educator, Innovative Educator Expert & Master Trainer, Certified Expert: QSR NVivo / TechSmith Camtasia & Snagit, ALDinHE Certified Leading Practitioner

This session will introduce you to a whole range of websites and tools that are available to build and manage your online academic profile. Lee will share his top tips on how to develop a strategic approach to your online networking and engagements. This will include the use of Twitter, Podcasts, YouTube, Instagram, Research Gate, blogging and more to help you reach new global digital audiences with your research.

For those of you who have been here since 2018_19 academic year, this is a refreshed version of the popular session Lee delivered for us at the PGR Experience Symposium in June 2019 (with Professor Roger Watson).  Lee has since been involved in the development of many more digital learning and teaching materials.

There will be time afterwards for questions.

This is a hybrid event and will take place online on Teams and in Room LT29 Ground Floor of Wilberforce Building.
