Workshop description

This Teams workshop will introduce you to Spotlight (http://spotlight.projectblacklight.org/), a tool for creating image-rich online exhibitions with the aim of supporting Knowledge Exchange. Spotlight is an open source exhibition-building tool that the University Library and Archives team have been exploring with the support of HEIF. 1) Introduction and overview

2) Spotlight demonstration

3) Case Studies from Blaydes House and the University Archives

4) Breakout discussions:

- What are your experiences with online exhibitions of academic research? What are good examples you have come across?

- What ideas do you have for how Spotlight might be useful in your own teaching, research and knowledge exchange activities?
