This workshop is designed for those who want to develop their reading of academic texts. It provides strategies to help you improve your reading efficiency, speed and understanding. As active reading is backed by effective notes, this workshop will also help you with your note taking.
Workshop requirements: You are advised to bring an academic book/textbook to this session for use with reading activities.
By the end of the master class you will be able to:
- Read an academic text efficiently
- Utilise rapid reading strategies
- Become an active reader
- Develop new note taking techniques
Who is this workshop for?
All students need the ability to synthesise large amounts of information but reading can be time consuming or daunting. This workshop is ideal for any undergraduate or postgraduate student who wishes to improve their reading efficiency and speed.
