Event description
Event description
Being able to create an effective academic presentation starts by learning the basic techniques. This workshop uses MS PowerPoint and shows you all you need to know about dealing with text, images, videos and simple animations.
We recommend that undergraduate students follow this workshop by attending the "Structuring and designing effective academic presentations" workshop or webinar. Postgraduate students are advised to attend the Creating and delivering effective conference presentations" webinar instead.
By the end of the workshop you will be able to:
- Add, format, move and resize text, textboxes, images and shapes
- Insert videos and create simple animations
- Play and control a slide show
Who is this workshop for?
Foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate students who are relatively new to using presentation software.
This workshop is run by a Library Skills Adviser sometimes supported by volunteers.
