Event description
Event description
You may be unaware but there is a PowerPoint slide design revolution underway – bullet points are yesterday’s thing and today’s slides should pack a punch with a clear message both textually AND visually. Don’t be left behind by emulating your lecturer’s design style – learn to use slides to enhance your point and stand out from the crowd.
This workshop will introduce you to contemporary insights into effective slide design. It is a non-computer based session concentrating on design rather than techniques. For a hands-on computer-based session, please see the ‘Creating presentations with PowerPoint workshop.’
Master class requirements: A reasonable working knowledge of PowerPoint will be expected so that you are aware of what can and cannot be achieved with the application.
By the end of the master class you will be able to:
- Make the slide title do the work
- Use images and diagrams to visualise your points
- Reject themes for more personal design
Who is this master class for?
This master class is for any level of student or researcher desiring an introduction to contemporary, effective slide design.
This workshop is run by a Library Skills Adviser
