Event description

Event description

PLEASE NOTE: this is a webinar (online workshop) and not a face-to-face workshop. Prior to the event you will receive an email with a link and further instructions on how to join the webinar.

This webinar will introduce participants to some of the key points to consider when designing the content and activities for a Critical Thinking workshop, which will also be of benefit when designing critical thinking activities in other settings. The webinar will review what it means to be critical, and then go on to explore the activities that can be developed to support learning. Participants will learn how to develop their own activities which they can subsequently use in learning support sessions (such as PASS, or teaching in general).

The webinar will consist of three parts, each of 20 minutes in length:

  • Part 1: introduction and an overview of the content of the workshop.
  • Part 2: our rationale for activity design, and examples of activities we use in the workshop.
  • Part 3: design of activities by participants in the webinar.
