Scientific reports tend to have a structure and style that is quite different to that of essays. You will need to take into account this distinct style, structure, and also treatment of information when writing a scientific report. This workshop will focus on the underlying principles of scientific reports in an academic context.

By the end of the workshop you will be able to:

  • Recognise the distinctive structure of reports
  • Appreciate the demands of the audience
  • Understand the academic writing style required when writing scientific reports

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is ideal for undergraduate students from any scientific discipline who are relatively new to report writing at university, or who wish to improve on their report writing.

This workshop is run by a Skills Team Adviser with the support of trained student Skills Leaders.
