As well as being able to write professionally in an academic style, it is important to be able to edit and proofread what you have written. Trying to check and improve your work can be difficult sometimes as you may not spot obvious mistakes. This workshop will show you how to improve your assignments by developing your editing and proofreading skills.
Workshop requirements: Students are encouraged to bring with them a short extract of their writing (no more than 1000 words)
By the end of the workshop you will be able to:
- Understand the key aspects of editing and proofreading
- Pick up tips on how to proofread and check your own work
- This master class will also provide an opportunity to edit and proofread a piece of work
Who is this workshop for?
This master class is ideal for students at any level of study who would like to improve their editing and proofreading skills.
This workshop is run by a Skills Team Adviser with the support of trained student Skills Leaders.
